We collect personal data only when needed to run the site, respond to you, or fulfil an order. Depending on how you use FixByte, this may include:

• Contact and lead forms — name, email, company, project type, budget, and message content.
• Customer accounts — email, name, password (stored hashed by our auth provider), saved addresses, and order history.
• Checkout — email, shipping and billing addresses, order line items, and payment status. Card numbers are processed by payment providers; FixByte does not store them.
• Account support requests — the details you submit through the support form.
• AI assistant — messages you send in the chat widget, processed to generate a reply. Do not share sensitive personal data in chat.
• Security and delivery — IP address for rate limiting and abuse prevention; country and locale preferences via cookies (see our Cookie Policy).
• Analytics — anonymised page views, referrers, browsers, and countries via self-hosted Umami. No analytics cookies are set; visitor IPs are hashed and not stored in raw form.

We do not sell your personal data.

We process data to perform a contract (checkout, accounts, order fulfilment), for our legitimate interests (site security, anonymous analytics, error monitoring, and service improvement), and where required, on the basis of consent. Where consent applies, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.

We use personal data to respond to inquiries, create and manage accounts, process and deliver orders, send transactional emails (order confirmations, password resets), operate the AI assistant, prevent abuse, and improve the site. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.

We use strictly necessary cookies for cart persistence, customer sessions, and locale or region selection. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.

We share data with service providers only as needed to operate FixByte: payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, CoinGate), email delivery (Zoho SMTP), error monitoring (Sentry, with PII scrubbing), and AI providers (OpenAI or Google, when the chat assistant is enabled). Each processor acts on our instructions under applicable data-protection agreements. Analytics run on our own infrastructure and are not shared with third-party analytics vendors.

Contact and support messages are kept as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterward. Account data is kept while your account is active. Order and invoice records are retained for as long as required by applicable law, including tax and accounting obligations. Anonymised analytics are kept in aggregated form.

Under GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to certain processing. You may also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (APD/GBA). To exercise your rights, contact us at contact@fixbyte.be. Account deletion is available on request; we will confirm once completed.

Session tokens are stored in httpOnly cookies. Traffic is encrypted in transit. We apply access controls, input validation, and monitoring to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use a strong, unique password for your account.
